Southern Boy Teas Rainbow Sherbet

Garlic bread, cheesecake, and cotton candy are not foods people, on a whole, would prefer to consume in liquid form, yet through the magic of modern-day science and free time, we now have that option. I ordered ten of the strangest iced tea flavors from Southern Boy Teas (garlic bread not included…I mean, we know how that’s going to end) last week to put them to the test. Since I’ve been home, I’ve really been getting into tea. Rather, my laziness has. Throughout my one-bedroom apartment, I’ve been placing strateagic (I swear that’s the last tea joke) stations to satisfy my craving. There are plenty of kettles to trip on.IMG_20150827_161855223_HDR Continue reading “Southern Boy Teas Rainbow Sherbet”

Epic Beef Cherry + Habanero Bar

Superbowl Sunday holds a great deal of significance to me- a day savage and full of masculinity, a day to reread A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, pump iron, and take a cool lavender bath. To change the channel from NBC to the Animal Planet and watch the Puppy Bowl over homemade Pad Kee Mao and Riesling. But above all, to eat copious amounts of meat. Let all humans take the day to observe a protein-based diet, rife with trend-influenced flavors like buffalo, chipotle, and ass-reaming hot. I’ve got a meat bar in my pocket, and no, I’m not just happy to see you.DSC_1800 Continue reading “Epic Beef Cherry + Habanero Bar”

Dunkin’ Donuts Kolache

Dunkin’, I never thought I’d see the day when the hipster trickle-down effect came to your Canton-based doorstep. Kolaches hold nothing but the most tepid of memories for me- first, snarfed down on one of the less traumatic family vacations in a rest stop, then, in Manhattan, snarfed at a small bakery in Clinton. Fast forward three years later, snarfed in the bed of a weird ex who, to my knowledge, now specializes in dumpster diving and ear plugs. Never date art students. Now, in my adventures in the South, Dunkin’ Donuts has seized upon my past adventures in Hershey, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, respectively, and brought the venerable kolache to Arkansas.DSC_9190-2 Continue reading “Dunkin’ Donuts Kolache”

B Sweet Hot Bread Pudding Cookies & Cream

Yes. I love you. Parent company, I love you so much, but I have to confess that I found myself wandering late last night. I know you’re always open, I know you’re there for me. I drove down the road and made the turn, intending to just drive by, see what was going on. But the air conditioning and dollar bins beckoned me. Truly, I don’t know how it happened, but when I woke up, I was sprawled across one of those red concrete balls, snoring like a bulldog. In my hand was a frozen carton of bread pudding from B Sweet and a fresh bullseye tattoo smarted across my bicep. Oh god. A Target exclusive. What have I done?wpid-wp-1403057974378.jpeg Continue reading “B Sweet Hot Bread Pudding Cookies & Cream”

Ben and Jerry’s Core Hazed and Confused Ice Cream

My bucket list is small, and admittedly, kind of dumb. I want to drive around aimlessly and listen to music, I want an auxiliary port in my car. I want to magically know when to end phone calls, and I wouldn’t mind having running water in my apartment more than three days a week. I also want to remember to bring my camera everywhere I go. wpid-IMAG1154.jpg Continue reading “Ben and Jerry’s Core Hazed and Confused Ice Cream”
