More importantly, she does not deem ‘paste’ one of the five food groups. Weird, right? In order to maintain harmony in the relationship, I like to go outside of the box and create snacks for her that satisfy her sweet tooth and my compulsive need to combine various flavors of cake. One of these is genius- no, seriously. It’s two-ingredient ice cream and it’s brilliant. You don’t even understand yet. Whipped cream is the magic ingredient, the other is literally anything you set your mind to. Chocolate. Cake. Pepperoni, if you’re insane. In this case: red velvet cake, salted vanilla beans, and birthday sprinkles. And the rest is history. The Bedfellow likes pudding, I like chaos. Enter the walking taco concept- with my homemade ice cream concept, easily whipped up (UGH), frozen, and made into a sundae atop various Snack Pack flavors with easy-to-use Nabisco snacks as toppings, it’s an indulgent snack with a virtually endless means of customization for any palate to #SnackAndGo.I picked up all of my ingredients at Walmart for a very low price- the Snack Packs were about $1 apiece, as was the pudding, which allowed me to work extra whipped cream into my budget for personal shenanigans as well. Success. The flavors were fun to innovate and enjoy- red velvet cake with a chocolate fudge shell and OREO cookies, birthday cake with a chocolate-peanut butter topping, sprinkles, and crushed Golden OREO cookies, Chips Ahoy, and peanut butter candies, and salted vanilla with Ritz-Bitz Cheese and Teddy Grahams on top- quite the dessert buffet!
